If you or someone in your family receives BISP money, one thing is changing: where and how you collect it. BISP has started a nationwide training campaign for women beneficiaries about its new digital payment system, and the first session was held in Lahore on 9 October 2026.
This guide explains, in simple words, what BISP has said so far, how to stay safe when you collect your payment, and where to complain if something goes wrong. We also tell you what is not clear yet, because guessing helps nobody.
Please note: We are not BISP. This summary is based on news reports of the campaign and the BISP website. Rules and rollout dates can differ by area, so confirm details with the official BISP helpline 0800-26477 or your tehsil office. Do not pay anyone to “arrange” your BISP payment. If someone asks you for money, report it to the BISP helpline.
What BISP Announced
- BISP launched an awareness and training campaign on its new digital payment system, aimed at women beneficiaries.
- The first training session was held in Lahore. Reports say UNICEF’s Social Policy Section helped organise it.
- BISP staff were told to explain to women how to use digital wallets, protect their mobile phone and SIM, receive the full payment amount and keep their transaction SMS safe.
- BISP said unauthorised deductions from beneficiaries’ payments will not be tolerated.
How You Collect the Money (As Reported)

- Wait for the payment confirmation SMS. The reports say you can collect the money after you receive this message.
- Go to an authorised retailer of a partner bank. According to the reports, this can be in any city, so you do not have to go to one fixed payment centre.
- Collect the payment using your digital wallet details, as taught in the training.
- Check the amount and keep the SMS.
BISP says the aim is to cut travel costs and hassle. Earlier, many beneficiaries had to travel to designated payment centre and wait in long lines.
Seven Safety Rules When You Collect Your Payment

The first four points follow BISP’s own advice from the training. The rest are common-sense rules we recommend.
- Protect your phone and SIM. Do not give your phone, SIM or PIN to anyone, even someone who says he is helping you.
- Keep the transaction SMS and do not delete it until you have checked everything.
- Make sure you receive the full amount. Count it before you leave and, if you can, ask for a receipt.
- Never accept a deduction. BISP has said unauthorised deductions are not allowed.
- Never share your PIN or any code sent by SMS with anyone, even if they say they are from BISP.
- Go only to an authorised retailer of a partner bank. If you are unsure, ask the BISP office or call the helpline first.
- Do not pay an agent to “fix” your payment. Kafaalat is the BISP cash support for eligible families. Nobody should charge you a fee to speed up or increase it. If anyone asks, call the helpline.
If Something Goes Wrong
- Call the BISP helpline 0800-26477. The BISP website lists the helpline hours as Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Visit your tehsil office.
- Note the date, amount, the retailer’s name or shop, and keep your SMS. This helps when you complain.
What We Do Not Know Yet
The reports we read do not give these details, so please do not trust anyone who claims to know them:
- The names of the partner banks and retailers.
- The exact step-by-step process inside the wallet.
- Whether there are any fees, and how the full amount is guaranteed.
- When the new system reaches your area.
The BISP website also lists a “Social Protection Wallet” and a Digital Wallet download. For the latest details, check the official BISP website or call the helpline.
Check Your Eligibility First
If you have not yet checked whether you are eligible for BISP, read our guide to the BISP 8171 check and registration. BISP has said that registration and the survey do not need any payment to an agent. Confirm with the helpline if anyone asks you for money.

Final Words
A new system can make life easier, but it also gives fraudsters a chance. Share this with a woman in your family who receives BISP, and keep the helpline number saved in your phone. For more guides on government schemes in Pakistan, keep visiting EarnExpertHub.
