Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a Rs. 700 million programme called e-Learn She Earn. It offers free three-month online training for women in digital skills such as graphic design, digital marketing and virtual assistance. Reports also mention free laptops, a monthly stipend and a certificate.
Here is the catch: the news reports we found do not agree on some details (the stipend amount, the laptop terms and which website to use). We have listed what the reports share and marked everything else as “confirm first.”
Please note: We are not the Punjab government, the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) or the Women Development Department. This article is a summary of news reports. No official notification was available to us, and no application deadline was reported. Never pay anyone to “register” you or to guarantee a laptop. Official registration is free in all reports we read.

Timeline: When Was It Announced?
- 22 April 2026: ProPakistani reported that the Punjab government had decided to launch the programme, as a one-year project for women aged 15 to 35.
- 11 to 13 May 2026: ARY News and ProPakistani reported that the Chief Minister had launched it, with the PSDF and the Women Development Department as implementing partners.
- Later reports: some websites repeated the news in July and August 2026. These are repeats, not new launches.
What Is Not Clear Yet
- Stipend amount. Only one report (Result.pk) gives a figure, Rs. 5,000 a month. Others only say “monthly stipend.” Treat the amount as unconfirmed.
- Laptop terms. It is not clear if participants keep the laptop or return it.
- Deadline and seats. No application deadline and no exact number of seats were published (“thousands” only).
- Official portal. Some reports name the PITB portal (eearn.pitb.gov.pk) and the PSDF website without explaining which one is main. One report we read also said that a verified official application notice could not be confirmed. Check on an official Punjab government, PSDF or PITB channel before you enter any personal data.

Which Course Should You Choose?
The reports list several tracks. This table is our own simple guide to match a track with your interest. It does not promise any income.
| Course | Good fit if you | What you can build |
|---|---|---|
| Graphic design | like drawing, colours and layouts | A portfolio of posters and social media designs |
| Digital marketing and e-commerce | like selling, social media and shops | Sample campaigns and product listings |

Do Not Confuse It With SEHAR
In June 2026 the Chief Minister also launched a different programme, SEHAR (Skill Enhancement Through Home Reach), with Rs. 970 million for home-based training of women in beauty services, hospitality and digital skills. It is a separate programme with its own rules and registration. Do not use the e-Learn She Earn rules for SEHAR, or the other way around.
Is It Worth It?
If the programme opens and selects you, a free course plus certificate is a good start. But a course alone does not give you income. To earn, you still need to build a portfolio and find clients. How to Avoid Fake “Registration” Offers
- Official programmes do not ask for a fee to register or to “confirm” a laptop.
- Do not share your OTP, CNIC photo or bank details on a WhatsApp number or Facebook page that is not official.
- Check any link on the official website itself before you trust it.
