Please note: We are not PSDF or the Punjab government. This guide summarises the official PSDF and Punjab government pages. The loan amount is not stated on those pages, so read the latest rules on the official portal before you apply.

Who Can Apply?

  • Resident of Punjab, age 18 or above, with a valid CNIC.
  • Men and women can both apply.
  • A job offer letter from an international employer.
  • Skill or international certification, as asked on the PSDF page.
  • The Punjab government page also mentions that the offered salary should be below SAR 5,000 per month. This condition is not repeated on the PSDF page, so confirm it on the portal.

The PSDF page lists demand-driven sectors such as construction, healthcare, hospitality, logistics and manufacturing.

How the Process Works

  1. Apply on the portal, directly or through a registered Overseas Employment Promoter (OEP). You need a valid job offer letter.
  2. Upload documents: job offer letter, medical certificate and skill verification certificate.
  3. PSDF review: your application is accepted or rejected.
  4. Loan application: visit a designated Bank of Punjab branch. On approval you receive 20 per cent of the loan first.
  5. Pay and upload receipts: the remaining 80 per cent is used for visa, OEP and air ticket costs. You upload the payment receipts to the portal.
  6. Pre-departure training: soft skills, cultural orientation and financial literacy.

Documents to Keep Ready

  • CNIC copy (JPG or PNG) and your CNIC issue date
  • Resume (PDF, DOC, DOCX or TXT)
  • Job offer letter from the employer
  • Medical certificate
  • Skill verification certificate
  • Payment receipts, which are uploaded later after the loan is released

Our documents checklist will help you organise your papers. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted, according to PSDF.

Protect Yourself from Fake Agents

  • The application is made on the official portal. Nobody needs your money to “get you the card”.
  • Check that your OEP is licensed before you pay any fee. Keep receipts.
  • Be careful with job offers that arrive through social media only. See our guide on fake job offers.
  • For questions, use the official helpline 0800-HUNAR (48627) or the email info@psdf.org.pk.

What Is Not Clear Yet

  • Loan amount and repayment period: not given on the pages we read.
  • Last date: no deadline was mentioned.
  • Salary limit: mentioned only on the Punjab government page.
